legal English Club - “Pillars of Equality”
LEGAL ENGLISH CLUB MEETING WITH THE THEME
LEGAL PROTECTION FOR WOMEN – PILLARS OF EQUALITY

The recent session of the Legal English Club (LEC) with the theme “PILLARS OF EQUALITY” has come to a close. Let’s take a look back at the activities, thoughtfully designed to combine revision with hands-on experience, helping participants not only consolidate their knowledge but also challenge their reflexes and apply legal English in familiar, practical situations through engaging activities.

LEC was honored to welcome:
◆ Ms. LL.M. Lê Huỳnh Phương Chinh – Head of the Center of Clinical Legal Clinical Education, Deputy Head of the Comparative Law Center, Chairwoman of the Legal English Club;
◆ Ms. Nguyễn Trần Thủy Tiên – Academic Assistant of the Economic Law Department, Vice Chairperson of the Legal English Club;
◆ All participating students.

Ms. LL.B. Nguyễn Trần Thủy Tiên – Vice Chairperson of Legal English Club

The series of games in the session were designed to review and reinforce vocabulary and knowledge:
+ Name Bingo: Participants selected 3 squares from a 3x3 grid consisting of 9 different prompts that matched themselves, then wrote down the names of others who chose the same. The first three participants to complete a line (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal) and shout “Bingo” won the game.
+ Pic Riddle: Participants observed visual clues displayed on the screen and guessed the related keyword within 40 seconds. The “lucky star” feature allowed players to double their points, adding more excitement to the game.
+ Find the Puzzle Pieces:
• Part 1: Teams had to quickly identify 2 violations from 8 hidden options within 20 seconds for each scenario. The fastest team with the correct answer earned points and a puzzle piece.
• Part 2: Participants rearranged scrambled English words into a meaningful message within 30 seconds and competed for the chance to answer.
• Final: The team with the highest score won.
+ Fast Grab – Right Word: In the first question, the MC supported by translating both the question and the answers. In the following rounds, the team that answered correctly could choose whether to have translation or not. If both teams answered incorrectly, hints were provided to continue the game.
+ Review Vocab: After completing the main activities, participants joined a mini-game via QR code to review all the vocabulary introduced during the session.

Throughout the session, enthusiasm, a spirit of fair competition, and a positive learning atmosphere were clearly present among participants.
