* General introduction about functions, tasks and main activities:
The School of Law’s labour union has 62 union members out of a total of 62 officers and employees of the School, is divided into 04 union groups: a union group of Department of Judicial Law, a union group of Department of Economic Law, a union group of Department of Administrative Law, a union group of Office. The School of Law’s labour union is a unit which is belonged to Can Tho University’s labour union.
The task of The School of Law’s labour union is propagating, educating, and campaigning officers, lecturers and employees of the School to carry out successfully the Resolution of The School of Law’s labour union Congress for the term 2023-2028, the Resolutions of the Party and State of VietNam, and political tasks of Can Tho University and the School.
Researching and proposing policies and measures to the School’s Party Committee, Management Board, and Can Tho University’s labour union to build a labour union system; coordinating to deploy and supervise the regimes, policies and laws which are related to officers, lecturers and employees in the School.
Developing labour union members, building labour union system; constructing and improving the qualifications and capacity of labour union members; participating in propaganding and educating officers, lecturers and employees; compaigning officers, lecturers and employees to obey Labour union’s Resolutions; financial management; inspection, resolution and participation in solving complaints and denunciations according to laws.
The School’s Labour Union also participates in management, inspection and supervision of School’s activities of management board, organizations and units; participates in propaganda officers and employees to improve their qualifications, professional skills, execute law. The School’s Labour Union organizes activities about cultural, art, sport… Besides, the School’s Labour Union mobilizes officers and employees participating in social and charity activities.
Every year, the Labour Union coordinates with the Government to organize the Conference for officers and employees. In this conference, the School’s activity plans and professional work for the next year will be proposed. In these activity plans, the School focuses on improving teaching methods and ensuring training quality; projecting and training staffs; political work among staffs and students.
