1. MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE LEGAL PRACTICE CENTER:
Established in March 2023, on the basis of receiving legal consulting and practice activities from the previous Comparative Law Center, the center continues to carry out activities related to consulting, legal practice, connecting, organizing exchanges for students, training, and developing legal practice capacity. Specifically:
- The center provides legal consulting (in terms of explanation and professional guidance for those in need, completely free of charge).
- The Center has mobilized and established student teams to participate in academic competitions organized by domestic law training institutions,
- In order to increase opportunities for professional practice, the Center has connected with the Vietnam Fatherland Front in Can Tho to organize students to participate in the legal consulting support office at the headquarters of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
In addition, with the goal of focusing on professional and academic activities associated with developing foreign language skills for Law students; encouraging and orienting students and lecturers to participate in exchange activities and improve English skills in the field of law. At the same time, with the attention of the Party Committee and support of the Faculty's leaders, the Center has mobilized students to establish a specialized English Club (LEC-legal English Club).
The Center also allows students to participate in short-term study abroad.
2. WHAT DO LAW PRACTICE ACTIVITIES BRING TO STUDENTS?
- Being exposed to and exchanging practical experiences with experienced legal practitioners such as lawyers, judges, prosecutors, etc.
- Being able to participate in exchange programs, seminars, workshops, conferences, etc. related to the practical legal education program (CLE) in and outside the country
- Being supervised and supported professionally.
- Being given opportunities to demonstrate skills and intelligence in competitions
